I was just on youtube… It angered me…

Like always Evolution of Dance is on the no.1 spot of most viewed videos of all time.

Ignoring the fact that it’s not that good a video Avril Lavigne is in second… And very quickly gaining ground…

Evolution of Dance may be tedious video but it’s nothing compared to Avril Lavigne. How can this possibly be close to becoming the most viewed video on the internet? What the hell is wrong with people on the internet?

It pisses me of that the most powerful medium on earth is going to make a song with the lyrics “Hey Hey You You I could be your girlfriend!” into the most popular video on that medium?

It pisses me off.

I watch an average amount of T.V. but at the moment it’s starting to really annoy me…

Somethings are really good (very few are really good but some) but even things that are really good can take years to become popular if they’re on the ABC… Which is terrible that Australians seem to have such a negative prejudice against our broadcasting commission…

If something on the ABC does become popular then tradition states that a commercial channel buys it of them…  Which I don’t get either… If you were in charge of a T.V. show why would you want it cut up by adverts?

But something that bothers me more is that if a show is popular (especially comedies but not necessarily) everyone you talk to the following day ask you “Did you watch such and such yesterday?” At this point your’ response really doesn’t effect the progression of the conversation… either way that person is going to recite their favorite part of the show… I can almost understand if you say no but if you say yes why bother? I’ve already seen it I don’t need your terrible impersonation of it. WHHYYYYY?!?!?!?! This means that any good show that makes it onto my T.V. is hated by me because of the number of times I’ve heard people talk about it…

That really annoys me, and when I say something like “I don’t wanna hear your lame impersonations!” Which only happens when I’m pissed of at something else and they get in the way… So this brings a couple of things on

1) They think I’m an asshole (Don’t usually care what that person thinks anyway (plus it might be true…))

2) They think I don’t like the show and therefor I’m out of touch…

It’s not that I hate the show… I just hate you…

On that kind note I’ll go…

I went to see Die Hard 4.0 yesterday…

The movie had a lot of plot and logic holes… Maybe that’s me spoiling what’s basically n action movie but still…

It also had some product placement… Which really bothers me because lets face it movies make millions but they have to make more…

So Die Hard had one that bothered me provided by Gears of War the video game…

They managed to buy into the first segment, theres a fairly obviously hard-core gaming guy and he’s playing their game. The shots on the screen just long enough for people to recognize what game it is. I recognized it because I’d watched a video of the first level of the game on youtube, it was like a promotional thing with the programmer. But the hard-core gaming guy was also playing the first level… The first bit like 15 seconds into the game.  Which was pretty bad product placement if you ask me…

But then later on in the movie Bruce and another guy are in a computer nerd’s hideout with like ten screens with stuff on them and would you look at that! The Gears of War menu! What a coincidence!

So that pissed me off….

So I looked back at my film memory and thought of other movies that had bad product placement…

I came up with I Robot , James Bond Casino Royal  and Evolution

To be fair Evolution makes a joke of product placement… But they still made money from it…

Next comes James Bond with this classic segment of dialog:

Bond Girl Pointing at his watch : “Rolex?”

Bond : ” Omega.”

Thats absolutely appalling…  

I Robot though is the worst…

I counted 12 obvious LOOK A PRODUCT ones…

The worst is when the main character Spooner (funny name) takes a box out of a bag and in the box is a pair of Converse All Stars. Then later on his grandmother asks him about them this is the conversation that follows:

Grandmother: “What’s that on your feet?”

Spooner (Snicker) :  ” Converse All Stars vintage 2004.”

Thats terrible. I don’t know how a serious film maker would be able to do that to his film… Surely he or her has some understanding that that line will make that bit of the movie really bad?

I don’t get it…

I wonder why it’s the oxford dictionary?

I’ve been to oxford… They didn’t seem that much smarter…

Just a thought.

Why do we drink milk…

It’s not from a very nice place…

I like to think that the majority of people wouldn’t want to drink breast milk….

How is it better if it comes from a different animal?

Who the hell was the first guy to drink milk (excluding breast milk)?

And what the hell was wrong with that guy?

“Oh”(probably actually “UG!” (caveman), “theres an animal I know i’ll squeeze it and drink the juice!” ….

What was wrong with the cow who let him squeeze it until juice came out?

How many body parts did the caveman have to try until he found the udders?

Who decided the shape that the majority of milk bottles would be?

Why do I have so many questions about milk?

What does whale milk taste like? and bat for that matter?

How can people disagree with me when I’m clearly right about everything?

How does getting out the wrong side of bed affect your mood for that day?

If we make a robot that reacts in exactly the same way a human does is it human?

Who the hell made America a super power?

Who the hell cares?

So last week and next week is exam week at my school…

Which of course brings all that fun of studying…

I like to think that I’m quite a smart person… But the problem is that I’m not…

Bit of a problem…

I should probably stop writing my blog and actually study….
