So I’m back from Japan…

It was lots and lots of fun…

Went to lots of different places…

There are lots of weird things in Japan, you’d think these days with all the western culture they get it would be a bit more normal… But no…

Saw Victoria Beckham on the telly there… She was on a Japanese show and they where chatting away in Japanese and she was trying to look like she understood it all… Fairly amusing…

But one of the weirdest things I found was the general undertone of peevishness and general surrealness…

A good example of the surreal aspect was when I was in a department store (a fairly upmarket and expensive one(didn’t fit in well there)) I went all the way to the top floor and there was a little playground but next to that was both a pet store and a little shrine. Very weird, it was like the 12th floor…

And a peevishness example…

I was in a book store and I wandered down an isle and it was just a row of porn… About two isles from the children’s books section…

Another weird one that I feel like sharing:

Sitting on the Shinkansen (Bullet Train)  about 9am. A Japanese guy was sitting smoking drinking a beer and looking at porn… No one else seemed to think that it was a little odd…

But it was still very fun

So nows theres a federal election on… I can just feel the excitement welling up inside me already… Oh wait… No I don’t… I guess it’s only six weeks but they’re going to be really boring… My favorite part of Australian elections is the scare adds they’re excellent  and this one promises to deliver lots…

Can’t wait….

England one! (The rugby)

As an Englishman living in Australia (AKA the loser country)  I get to brag to all my mates about how awsome we are! Which being the asshole that I am I enjoy that quite a lot…

The trick is to piss of the people enough so they hate your guts and are reminded of their shocking defeat but not so much that they kick my ass… It’s taken years of practice to get that perfect amount… I’ve basically made it an art form….

So I thought I’d take a trip down memory lane and decide to install my very first proper video game…

Redline Racer.

I say proper because I had learning game type things before that as a child but not a game that was completely dedicated to fun…

I still really enjoyed the game… It took a while to get it working because it was designed for windows 95 and I’m running XP and god forbid that it would just work…

But the game was still fun… Surprisingly fun… There are some games that are much newer and have much better graphics that I like less…

And it has the classic voice over thing that every now and then will say something here’s some examples:

“You’re a winner, Catch up! you’re in last place, Good Move, and so on…” It made me laugh when I heard it I’d completely forgotten about him…

So that was a lot of fun…  Plus I got further than I had previously so YAY!

It feels strange ending on an enthusiastic note…

So I’ve been asked some questions about the other Itjaw…

The other Itjaw’s blog has been around since June (this year). But I think they’ve been blogging before and something went wrong with it and it died so I have no idea…

I found out about it by using a stats tracker that I use for this website that can give me info like if someone clicked on a hyper link to my site where that hyper link is. I suddenly noticed that some people where coming from there and checked out the site… I wasn’t very pleased…

So then I slept on it (often I get pissed at someone and then realise that I shouldn’t be pissed at them so I thought I would sleep on it). I woke up in the morning and I was still pissed so I wrote the post Pinhead… And then I also posted it as a comment on the other Itjaw’s site but it wasn’t let on the site and the post was changed I still don’t like the post that’s there but I can live with it… It’s titled Funny thing happened on the way to the forum.

I’ve got several problems with this…

First of all he (or she) calls me a pinhead… It’s not the worst I’ve been called by a long shot but I would still appreciate it if people only insulted me when I’ve done something wrong rather than having the same name as them.

Secondly I only say that the t in Itjaw stands for tragedy once in the very first post of my blog and even then I think I make it reasonably clear that it doesn’t stand for that… heres what it says:

“First I think I should explain what ITJAW means for those who don’t know. It means Instant TRAGEDY Just Add Water and if any one says anything to the contrary then they are lying and you should go “LALALALA can’t hear you!” and jam you fingers in your ears… Yes…” Tragedy is in bold because there are some people  who do know what it actually stands for and it was a little private (admittedly not very funny) joke.

Also it’s apparent from the blog that the writer has children… Nice to see they’re setting a good example “He has the same name as me! It’s not fair!” Get over it.

It seems strange that someone would think that out of the six billion people in the world that you would be the only person to use that acronym. It takes a special kind of ignorance to think that…

If you are about to badmouth me for no good reason please take the time to try and sought it out before hand with me… Simply email me itjaw -at- hotmail -dot- com (an account which I’ve had for about 6 or 7 years…)

I would appreciate it if this person would remove or edit their post… But I doubt that will happen…
